The Sicilian Slice

What We’re Listening To This Week

Steve’s got these on repeat:

Metamodernity – Vansire

Earworm of the week, I will not stop listening to this until I completely loathe it… seriously vibey tune to coast through the city or ambient noise as you unwind.

Pharaohs – SBTRKT, Roses Gabor

For those that know me, I love a catchy, upbeat tune with a female vocalist…think Galimatias and Alina Baraz. SBTRKT’s body of work is flush with incredible collaborations with artists I probably would have never heard of (Sampha, Roses Gabor, Littel Dragon…etc.), and I know you’ll vibe with these upbeat, mellow tracks.

On and On – Djo

If you didn’t know, this is Joe Keery’s project post his time with Post Animal (yes, the beloved Steve Harrington is also a rock star). I enjoyed his first project, Twenty Twenty, but the new album is on par, if not more refined than the latter.

Gianca summarizes it:

Dawg…I feel like M Bison

Iron Lung – KGATLW

Turnstile – Fazed Out

Us and Them – Pink Floyd

SONG OF THE WEEK

Silver – Bleed

I had the good fortune to see this crew open up for Narrow Head at Johnny Brenda’s; head over to my write-up to read more. Silver was the official anthem of fighting traffic on 18th, heading to work this week.

Stay tuned for some additional Bleed content coming soon, they’re certified 7ft.
