What We’re Listening To This Week

Steve’s got these on repeat:

No One’s Deserving – Superheaven

Superheaven is one of my favorite bands, and they’re going back on tour to celebrate the ten year anniversary of Jar. Entire album is a must listen, so don’t sleep on em and if you can, grab tickets.

People Ain’t Dancing – Billen Ted

Mixing it up this week with some HAUS music, I can’t get enough of this track, you can’t help but to bounce to this.

Alive – Hanni EL Khatib

Yea this is the backing track to the ‘RIP Leon’ Apple commercial that’s been making the rounds, especially during playoff football. Yes, it’s a banger.

Gianca’s spinning:

Wake Up – Mad Season

An all-star grunge lineup consisting of members from S-tier grunge acts like Pearl Jam, AiC, and the Screaming Trees. Staley, McCready, Martin, and Saunders cap off the band, formerly “The Gacy Bunch(1).” Though only releasing one album, this group has some of the most beautiful grunge hits I’ve listened to. Wake up is one of my favs.

Selfish – Slowthai

Slowthai is back with new music! One of my favorite UK artists is changing up his style for a more punk sound, and I love this one.

Farewell Transmission – Songs: Ohia

If you haven’t heard this song, please stop what you are doing and listen now. It’s a masterpiece; every vocal progression, chord, and note is intentional. The culmination resulting in a beautiful track by Songs: Ohia.

SONG OF THE WEEK

Wide Asleep – Chappaqua Wrestling

Ric Flair WOOOO, Jake and Charlie hitting us with a new single whilst announcing their debut album, ‘Plus Ultra,’ set for release mid-April. This song is an earworm and a half, with jangly chords, a punchy chorus, and a powerful social commentary on our unhealthy addiction to social media. We love this band, so go ahead and show them some love by streaming this new track and pre-ordering the album here.
