The Sicilian Slice

What We’re Listening To This Week

Steve’s got these on repeat:

Saint Joe On The School Bus – Marcy Playground

Reminder to listen to more Marcy Playground, while I might argue they’re a one-hitter, I might have to reconsider considering how much this tracks been on rotation for the last few weeks

Super Saturated – Drug Church

Obligatory Drug Church track, PO’d I missed their show at the Church last weekend.

Karate Frees – Cookin Soul / Action Bronson

What’s better than a Cookin Soul beat? A Cookin Soul beat with Action Bronson dropping facts and figures over top.

Gianca’s spinning:

Flamethrower – King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

They can’t keep getting away with this…how does King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard keep putting out absurdly good music across every genre. This entire album is a return to their heavy metal sound. The riffs, heavy vocals, face-melting solos, and downright trippy outro on this track make it one of my favorites on the entire album.

Big City Nights – Scorpions

The Sicilians LOVE the Scorps; something about the swagger, sexiness, and innovation of this German rock group really gets us.

T.N.T. – AC/DC

Shots of Casa Azul, running out the door, record playing, core memory. This song is hype and so is this memory 🙂

SONG OF THE WEEK

Sicily – Queens of the Stone Age

First and foremost, we’d be remiss not to highlight that QOTSA dropped In Times New Roman this week, and while the album is fire, we have to admire their shoutout to the Sicilians.
