This album is gold, I really enjoy playing it all the way through, but this track, an easy listening, groovy, love song, is something I keep coming back to. That’s why it’s sitting on top of my list this week.
Life During Wartime – Talking Heads
I keep crushing Talking Heads week after week, because that’s just who I am now.
Never Fight A Man With A Perm – IDLES
A disdainful ode to those hardo’s out there, this track has a simple message, “Never fight a man with a perm.” The opening guitar riff eerily rips through your ear as the drums and bass pound forward, unrelenting like a hurricane of noise. This song was pure, unadulterated chaos this week at Franklin Music hall.

Doom City – King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard
Surprise, surprise, this week’s list will be CHOCK FULL gizzard slice from me. Seeing those dudes play nonstop for 3 hours has got me on an absolute kick. Doom City is one of my favorite songs off flying microtonal banana. The riffs and breakdowns sound like something off a Sabbath record, and it’s just so psychedelic. The vocals are just like a trance… DOOOM CITY DOOOM CITY
The Dripping Tap – King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard
Eighteen minutes of PURE JAMMING. The vocals, the guitar work, and the whole concept of this song being a tap that didn’t turn off are incredible. Drip drip on the tap, don’t slippp! The album highlights everything King Gizzard does well, showcasing their multidisciplinary genre masterclass.
Shanghai – King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard
Synths, Shanghai, an absolute groove, and the more electronic side of King Gizzard has grown on me. It’s such a fun song; I love the chorus on this track. I’ve become a butterfly 🙂
